AMPLIFIED PHONE AND TTY SELECTION PROGRAM
IMPACT is a Selection Center in cooperation with Illinois Telecommunication Access Corporation (ITAC). To be qualified, the person has to be Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf-Blind, and/or speech impaired and resident of Illinois. ITAC provides equipment through its Loan and Voucher Programs. Equipment in the Voucher Program includes a TTY and Amplified telephones. The person will have an opportunity to try out the amplified phone at IMPACT and make the selection. Approved applicants will own the equipment they receive through ITAC’s voucher program. Equipment in the Loan Program includes TTY/LVD (Large Visual Display), The CapTel phone and the Braille TTY. All equipment in the loan program belongs to ITAC and will remain the property of ITAC. ITAC will provide the loaned equipment plus routine maintenance and/or exchange services to you through the Selection Center.
