Operating under IMPACT’s peer support model, our Blind Services staff, who are persons with varying degrees of visual impairments, can assist consumers of any age who are experiencing vision loss or blindness.  Some of the services available include braille classes, peer counseling and a Support Group.

IMPACT’s Elder/Older Blind Grants are unique programs which assist persons 55 years or older who are visually impaired. Our Independent Living Specialist can provide skills training and purchase necessary adaptive equipment to continue living a productive, independent life in their own homes.

Braille Classes
Many individuals who are blind or visually impaired seek ways to read even though the printed word is no longer accessible to them. IMPACT braille classes are taught by persons who depend on braille for their  information, individuals who are blind or visually impaired.
